Castle Hill Comp Results

The Castle Hill Comp Results were published earlier this week, and two of the three beers I entered got some cred.

Strong Ale
Third Darren Robinson American Barley wine

Belgian and French Ale
First Darren Robinson Witbier

Very happy with both, and very proud of the Hill Brewers Group that were able to pull the comp off, especially with all the sponsors they got on board.

Looking forward to the prizes arriving now.

AABC 2006 Results

The Australian Amateur Brewing Champs were held in Melb last weekend, and one of my two qualifiers from the NSW comp took 3rd in the Belgian/French category. I'm pretty stoked.
I qualified with a Belgian Dubbel, but the keg was empty when entries for the AABC were required, so as allowed under the rules I could enter another beer in the same category.

AB's smash the frogs

All Blacks boss Graham Henry has called yesterday's 47-3 demolishing of France one of the best wins he has been involved in.

Damm straight. I got up early on a Sunday to watch the game, and was most impressed with the win over one of the AB's hoodoo teams. I still recall the 1999 World Cup holed up in a Singapore hotel with no one to call as the AB's were off their game.

Just hope they aren't peaking to early for the RWC in 2007 (in France).

Just for the record; All Blacks 47 vs France 3
